But the road to interiors was more of a welcome mat. Born into a long line of interior designers, Julia was fortunate to find her passion for interiors early on and later landed her first post-grad job as a home décor editor.
Spending a decade as an interiors editor producing creative content for some of the web’s leading design content and e-commerce brands (PopSugar Home, MyDomaine, One Kings Lane), she honed a data-driven approach to editorial and developed extensive strategic marketing and product expertise. Pivoting to in-house brand communications, she leveraged her technical skills, brand mastery, and design savvy as a growth marketing director for late-stage interior design startups.
Most recently, she was the Senior Director of Sales Marketing for heritage design house Schumacher, for which she oversaw omni media strategy including digital marketing, email marketing, paid media, SEO/SEM, regional marketing, catalog production, brand partnerships, and analytics. She has worked with a range of design-focused brands—from local residential design firms to global décor retailers to emerging design startups—on digital and in-store marketing and strategy.
